According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the American clothing industry totaled 938.6 thousand jobs in 1990. Today, there are 148 thousand jobs in the U.S. clothing industry.
The trend of losing American jobs in the clothing industry will continue if consumers are not buying American.
