There are 100 civics questions featured in the U.S. Citizenship test. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services reported that as of June 2018, the overall national pass rate is 91%.
Back in 2017, the annual Annenberg Constitution Day civics survey found that 53% of Americans thought that illegal immigrants do not have rights under the U.S. Constitution (they do have rights). However, 37% of these same Americans could not name any of the rights guaranteed under the First Amendment. And only 26% could name all three branches of the government. These are just a couple of crucial questions asked in the citizenship test. Immigrants often score higher in the citizenship test than natural born American.
You think you can pass the civics test? Below are 25 potential questions immigrants are asked (about 5 minutes of your time). If you think these questions are tough, you’d be in trouble… The real test has 100 questions and it is NOT multiple choice!
It is said that only around 2% of American citizens will pass the citizenship test and you are probably not one of them. Prove us wrong! Take the quiz below.
